Eyewear Direct

The doors opened for Eyewear Direct almost
a decade ago in August 2000 in the Riverside
Precinct in Shrewsbury. With the business
expanding in 2003, Eyewear Direct Opticians
moved to its present location at 62/63 Mardol.
Optometrist and contact lens practitioner,
Stephen Ellerker joined the practice in 2004 and
3 years later he was given the opportunity to buy
the business, taking over on 1st June 2007.
It is now Stephen’s passion to develop Eyewear
Direct’s reputation for commitment to service,
quality and value.

We offer spectacles, contact lenses, eye
examinations, retinal photography and children’s
eyecare.

We also have a diverse selection of designer
glasses and sunglasses, as well as regular
offers on spectacle purchases.

Opening Hours

Our out of hours service offers clients an opportunity to book an appointment to have their eyes tested and purchase spectacles if required out of the normal opening hours.

This is also very useful for our corporate clients who want to pay for our services when it is convenient for them, such as early morning or evening.

The service costs only £40 including retinal photography.
